Hooked on School: everyone's concern, every day!
The Coopérative de solidarité Paradis is having a 5 pm–7 pm get-together in Rimouski. Invited guests include Rimouski Mayor Éric Forest, MP Irvin Pelletier, partners for staying in school, the e-mentor guest speakers, and the students of École Paul-Hubert. Important news, in support of young people in the region staying in school, is also on the agenda.

Key political figures in the Eastern Townships (federal and provincial MPs, wardens, mayors, municipal councillors, school commissioners, etc.) make a concrete gesture by becoming e-mentors for Academos, thereby asking citizens to do the same to support staying in school!

Five students from two schools in the Laurentians visit a company called iWeb. Three of them have dropped out of school, and the other two want to interview an e-mentor to compile a list of little-known occupations.

Jean Sawyer, renowned Radio-Canada journalist, gives a realistic and inspiring account. This passionate e-mentor has invested his time for more than six years in helping our young people. Salim Idrissi, a new Quebecker, is invited to this discussion and tells the story of his own path, an inspiring story for young people. Salim is the political attaché of Finance Minister Raymond Bachand in the Outremont riding. Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montreal will also hand out ribbons in support of staying in school.

In order to interest young people in civic action, a registration of e-mentors will take place at the Maison (youth club) of the region. In partnership with the Regroupement Jeunesse du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, elected officials (MPs, heads of organizations, etc.) will be on hand to register. Also on the agenda is the announcement of important news in support of staying in school for the young people in the region.
