Academos' Blog Presentation

Academos makes it easier for Quebec youth to make a career choice by giving them direct and personalized access to the working world.

Academos is an e-mentoring service used annually by more than 18,000 secondary school students and Cegep students. It enables young people to have confidential discussions with volunteers in an occupation or profession that interests them, on a secure Web site. Academos also has video capsules on occupations and professions as well as profiles of professional role models, and it lets people share their dream jobs. All this conducted in close relationship with social networks. After all, who can better support young people than the people close to them?

The mission of this blog is to keep you informed of our actions and of the latest search results in the areas of mentoring, e-mentoring, and guidance. Imagining what it is like to be in an occupation or practise, talking about it, and discussing the various aspects involved, while at the same time receiving the support of family and friends—these are the things that will facilitate our young people’s career choices. And our mission is to inspire them, by the community and for the community.
